Featheredge / Bevel Cladding

Featheredge (also known as Bevel or Rebated Bevel) is one of the most popular types of exterior timber cladding and will give your façade a unique depth and texture. Its popularity lies in the fact that it is economical compared to other cladding types and it produces very attractive results.

Featheredge cladding is produced by sawing boards at an angle to produce two pieces thicker on one edge than on the other. The thicker butt end overlaps the course below to create a bold shadow line effect.

Featheredge cladding is installed horizontally and can be seen in both traditional and contemporary buildings, particularly in North America and Scandinavia.
